My name is Christina Mercado and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey. I have been working in the mental health field for a decade with experience working in various therapeutic settings such as inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs. Although I have experience working with clients of all ages, I now primarily work with adults. I specialize in working with adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma and ADHD. I also specialize in codependency, people pleasing, setting boundaries, and helping clients recovering from narcissistic abuse. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to fit the needs of each individual client. I also operate from a trauma focused approach as well as a culturally sensitive approach with all my clients. My style of therapy aims to help you gain more perspective into the connection between your thoughts, behaviors and emotions. While working with me, you can expect a collaborative therapeutic approach that seeks to bring lasting changes.
